Access Learning
During Years 11 and 12, students embarking on the Access Learning Pathway:
- have no external examinations unless they are undertaking one or two ATAR subjects as part of their overall courses studied;
- complete a SCSA Externally Set Task (EST) to be completed in Year 12;
- undertake courses which include structured workplace learning (INSTEP) (Year 11) and Certificate Courses at TAFE (Year 12);
- complete a total of six courses including Religion & Life in Year 11 and Year 12; and
- are required to study Careers & Enterprise in both years.
All Year 12 Access Learning students have the opportunity to pursue alternative entry to university if they wish to pursue that route. This can be achieved through direct entry or undertaking bridging courses.
